MACP Programs

Salary & Operations Surveys
Benchmark your own chamber’s operations and compensation schedules with your peers in Michigan. Salary surveys track benefits and salary structure for the CEO/Executive Director positions and up to 15 additional staff positions across three budget categories. Operations surveys track budget and membership data for comparison with other communities in the state. Surveys are free to participating members and for a nominal fee to non-participants.

Awards
MACP recognizes excellence in chambers of commerce and chamber professionals annually through several award programs. The Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award is presented to organizations in three operating-budget categories and measures effectiveness in leadership, finance, advocacy, and program and membership development. The award application is a good first step in putting together applications for national accreditation. Applicants receive recognition through press releases to their communities and letters to board leaders.

The Michigan Chamber Professional (MCP) designation is awarded annually to chamber professionals that demonstrate a commitment to the chamber profession through professional training, service, and performance. From these candidates, the MCP of the Year is also named for outstanding contributions and awarded to the highest scoring candidate.

Scholarships
Sponsored by the US Chamber of Commerce, Institute is a customized professional development program for chamber executives and staff members with elective courses in marketing, financial management, leadership development and other critical areas to help improve the skill sets of your chamber organization. MACP scholarships are available for partial tuition.
